Pinotage is a red wine grape created in South Africa by crossing Pinot Noir and Cinsaut, historically called Hermitage locally. Modern Pinotage can range from fresh red-fruited wines to structured, oak-aged bottles with dark fruit, spice, smoke, coffee, cocoa, or savory notes.
