- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. It uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- Advertising. We may show ads served by Google AdSense (described below).
- Contact form. If you write to us, we receive the details described under “The contact form” below.

Advertising and cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them will not stop the site from working.

The contact form
When you write to us, we keep your name, email address, reason and message. We email you a link to confirm the address is yours; nothing is sent to us until you confirm. To protect the form from misuse, your message reaches us together with technical details of your connection: IP address and its network name, browser and device, language, time zone, screen size and similar details your browser reports, recorded when you send the form and when you confirm it. These details are used only for security. We keep contact messages for 90 days.

Links to other websites
Many pages link to producers, retailers, and news sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover. Some links may be referral links; see the disclosures.
Privacy
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information is processed by the service providers named above (our web host and Google) to provide their services, and may be disclosed if required by law.
Privacy
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a limited period by our host. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our Analytics property. Contact form messages are kept for 90 days; replies continue by email.
Privacy
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Use the contact form with the reason “Privacy or data request” to make a request; we confirm it comes from you before acting on it. You can also control cookies through your browser and the advertising opt-outs above.
